Behaviour Policy
Our Behaviour Systems and the Freehold Five
Freehold Community Primary Academy Relationships and Behaviour Policy
Vision
At Freehold we are all ‘Growing Together on our Learning Journey’. Staff, pupils, parents and all stakeholders are entitled to belong to a safe, calm and caring learning community. We know that good behaviour in school is central to a good education and we will strive to manage behaviour effectively so we can provide supportive environments which our children want to attend and where they can learn and thrive. We want our pupils to succeed personally, through knowing how to behave well and appropriately in a variety of contexts.
Our core beliefs, exemplified in our Freehold Five, underpin how we support children to learn to understand and manage their behaviour responsibly.
Integrity – making choices to do the right thing and do our best
Respect – listening, controlling our bodies and words and caring for the school and resources
Honesty – telling the truth and speaking up when we need help
Empathy – showing kindness and care for others, using kind words and hands and thinking about how our actions could affect others
Resilience – keeping on going, even when things are challenging
